Think we'd be fine going into the season with Zinchenko, Mendy and Laporte as our options at LB, to be honest.

You're spot on.

We look fragile down the left and,next season,it will very definitely be an area of attack and exploitation for the opposition.

Exactly. I wouldn't bet a farthing on Mendy ever being anything other than completely unreliable fitness wise. He’s Jack Rodwell mkII.
Chilwell looked good the other night. If I thought there was someone out there daft enough to give us half what we paid for Mendy, I’d buy Chilwell quite happily

This. I don't trust in Mendy right now and Zinchenko is ok but not good enough really.

Surely there’s better out there than a Walker equivalent. Ok most of the time defensively, rarely offering anything in attack and occasionally doing something idiotic at the very worst time.

Even though they are quite different......You think that 'being another Walker' would be a bad thing?
 
Walker has been decent of late but overall he’s been poor this season. I was hoping for a lot better from any new fb.
 
I would personally like a more attacking left back since walker is not great attacking wise. Still have a bit of hope for Mendy. I'd like him to slim down though. Even yaya, who was a beast, never had the build of mendy in his prime. It can't help his injury situation.

When you say of late.....do you mean since he signed? where he has been our first choice right back in our trophy laden,record breaking,seasons?

Nah,i'd hate to see Chilwell develop into something similar....
