Unless the pride of being seen to be working outweighs the extent of your hate for the job, you'd be acting irrationally. People who don't get pride from money, and instead prefer to spend life not 'working' but with their kids or on bluemoon or fishing, aren't worse people, they just value different things.
Somebody has to pick up bill to allow those who prefer not spending life 'working', by taking the choice of not contributing financially to the process they deprive someone else of that "choice", or deprive someone of something else the public purse pays for, perhaps someones nan will keep the heating off a little longer this winter (no choice for her) to help give folk this choice, and so on and so forth - when stripped of all it's "nobility" it's just plain selfish nowt else.

The same must be said for the ownership of property in a free-market system. When you work in such a system, you victimize others less fortunate than yourself. Just because the Establishment tells you that working in such a system is noble, doesn't make it right and doesn't absolve your responsibility from depriving others of land.
If we ripped up all boundaries and demolished all houses and divided the country equally amongst it's citizens you would find the strongest individuals or coalitions would gain the best land (nature doesn't do equality), produce the best crops, becomes stronger/bigger than the rest and so on and so forth, same shit different currency.
nashark said:It's easy to direct envy and hate towards your brothers and sisters when you've come home from a long day at work and pick up the Daily Mail or whatever, but you need to look at the bigger picture. We're all victims and sinners in this economic system, and we can carry on ratcheting up the hate or we could realise that the world constructed by the powerful is corrupt and needs tearing apart. It's up to you, but no-one is 'scum' and everyone is capable of civility and love towards each other.
neither envious or have hatred, as said just think it's plain old fashioned selfishness towards society if you can, but decide not to, for no other reason than you just fancy doing something different with your day - wouldn't we all? but somebodies got to be responsible for those that can't.
Side note; Daily Mail currently being sued - hopefully that lying shit rag excuse for a newspaper will end up consigned to history as a result (or at worst actually start to gather facts and run stories based on them)
