If he's "banned" from turning up for a week how can get treatment for his foot injury ? I'm not convinced this is as serious as is being made out in here (or in the media either).

Where did anyone say he was banned from turning up? He was banned from the "first team set up".

The womens team, EDS and everyone below still get treatment and they're not in the first team.

When Samuel Eto’o went out on a night out once Pep never spoke to him directly ever again (only through other players) and then sold him.

Pep does not suffer fools!

He's banned from the first team.

Pep and the club are hardly going to withhold treatment, ffs.

So how does this ban from the "first team set up" work, when he gets treated by the medical staff in the "first team set up" ?
Training might start at 10am and Mendy might be good to go there for treatment at 9am then leave

Or if the players leave the CFA at 3pm Mendy might be told to go there after then

"first team set up" includes medical staff from said "first team".

You've just invented that definition.

Use a bit of common sense. It should be incredibly obvious an injured player isn't going to be banned from medical treatment. We know Sam Lee is a reliable journalist on these kind of things.

So the definition of "first team set up" doesn't include medical treatment. Which should be obvious anyway, as all teams at CFG get medical treatment, and rehab not just the first team.

Thanks, that's a sensible answer.

As was the media (and some of the usual ott merchants on here) making more of it than required, especially with the shenanigans going on in the next borough, before 2 big games this week as well.

Can't help but think we have another balotelli on our hands here, last thing we need. Balo was young when he came here but didn't learn from his mistakes. Just hope mendy doesn't go down the same route otherwise this situation could be very problematic

Differnce is bobby was his adoptive father in football terms and friend of his family so he was too soft on him,he has also showed since he has never grown up,this situation is very different,it's peps way or the highway,i think he will buckle down
