Anyone who claims Pep is a checkbook manager.
He has spent the bulk of last season and this with Delph (mid table central mid played out of position) and Zinchenko (untested young player also not a born left back) as his two left backs.

During that time, he has lost how many games (especially if you exclude the two CL Liverpool games played against 12 men and the freak Lyon result when he was unable to influence)

That’s an exaggeration but it is looking more and more likely he will be a big money flop. Still only about half the price of a Pogba.

With Pep making so many great signings I can’t blame him as you can’t win them all.

By summer Mendy will have had been with us for 2 seasons. I think the club could possibly move in for a new left back depending on how the form and fitness of Delph, Zin and Ben.

Not looking good for Mendy right now. Out till February then will be probably be a few weeks until he is fully match fit then maybe some more time to discover his top form.
