Could be that we're looking for a second left back to be more direct competition and cover with Mendy, like Danilo for Walker, considering we don't actually have a second LB right now.

Mentioned it last week - paid over the odds for Mendy and we are paying the price.
He was injured a lot at Monaco and had 2 injuries since he has been here. I don't get the hype with him, he is never on the pitch and is not reliable.

Same could be said over the same period for KDB or Vinny if that was a criteria for getting rid hopefully it isn't.

Getting a decent homegrown left back, like Chilwell or somone of that ilk, would be a good move. No reason for Zin to not move on, get decent money for the lad and wish him well.

That was all down to Delph though to be fair, the club were going to sell him to Stoke.

I think the hype comes from Social Media persona partly. I for one am glad he has piped down a bit on Twitter. He is a bit like Mario - although less trouble.

Heard a rumour that we're in for a new LB in the summer. Doesn't sound too promising that. Not sure if that's cos of Mendy or whatever, but yeah.

Through the vast majority of our squad we have 2 fantastic choices in any position, with the exceptions being CDM (given that Gundogan doesn't often appear there for us), potentially soon CB (unclear how long Kompany has left) & LB.

Whilst we have 3 options at LB they include Zinchenko, who for me just isn't a LB even if he's a decent player, Delph who's been fantastic there but has issues keeping fit, and Mendy who's having issues with fitness/professionalism & mixed performances. So although not a worry area, arguably our weakest position on the pitch & doesn't sound surprising one area we may look to strengthen alongside CDM.
