Benjamin Mendy (Back In Training)

If Mendy is able to get fully healthy and return this season, you play him. For a couple reasons. First being that you want to give him the opportunity to win a spot in the World Cup. Second reason is that the team needs to know how much his game will be impacted by the injury. Hopefully none, but there are always cases where guys just never get to their previous level.

But he needs to be at 100% before he sees the pitch. I don't think anybody would argue that.
 
Back in full team training today!



Should take about 3 weeks to get up to speed, he'll be 100% healthy now, just a case of match fitness and getting his touch back.

Could feature in some of the last 6 league games, second 1/4 final of the CL and potentially semi's and a final.

Great news good luck to him in his recovery hope the training goes well.

He's still played a part this season which has been amazing considering he's been out but you can tell the other lads love the guy.

We do need to be patient with him though I'd rather a proper season next year than rush him back too early.

Sure the medical team know best.
 
Great stuff. His fitness shouldn't be far off, on his instagram he's been pushing himself hard aerobically. It's just a matter of getting his touch and confidence back, making sure his knee is ready.
 
Not sure this has been mentioned above, but I think Mendy is pushing hard for a return so he can play for France in the World Cup. It would be nice for him to not rush for City's sake, but for him personally, I wish him well in his strive for fitness and inclusion with the France team. They have already suffered a massive blow with Mangala out for the rest of the season.

Has anyone got a highlight vid of the few games he’s had with us? Can’t find anything, wanna get myself excited lol
 
Would rather he targets the game after United and Spurs. No need to play in a high intensity match, bring him in slowly.
 
I was a bit worried about him leaving space behind him at the start of the season

But he would be really valuable at this point with opponents in bus park mode, him bombing down the left in conjunction with Sane would be terrific
