I admit to knowing nothing about U.K employment law re: suspensions but I do know that I wouldn’t get paid if I was in jail instead of at workMight be wrong here but we chose to suspend him, nobody forced us too.

I mean there's a 1.3% conviction rate for rape. And those will include the completely obvious, independent evidence, stranger in a dark alley scenarios, which are typically as successful at being tried as any other crime. The fact that a case wasn't deemed watertight enough to bring to court really says nothing about whether it happened, to be honest.I think virtually everyone is glad he’s moved on from City. He isn’t a nice person.
There may have been 9 different women and 9 separate charges but they were mixing in the same social circles. Word may well have gone round that they could cash in on Mendy. We just don’t know.
The facts are that one case was unworthy of reaching the Courts and a further 6 were rejected. We do t know how the retrial will go on the final 2 cases.
I don’t know whether Mendy committed these crimes or not and neither do you. Claiming that the evidence wasn’t sufficiently watertight is misleading though. The evidence against Mendy was flimsy. The facts are that he has been acquitted on all but 2 charges. The Courts will decide on the remaining charges. If Mendy is convicted then that would be the guilt you have already assigned to him.I mean there's a 1.3% conviction rate for rape. You're talking about him being legally proven guilty. I'm talking about whether he did it. You seem to think that those two things are the same. But in rape cases, it is demonstrably true that there is very little relation between the two. The vast majority of rapists, thousands and thousands of people, are walking free having never seen any sort of justice for their actions. Ultimately, as you say, none of us know, but we can still make a probability judgement about whether 9 women would independently choose to wrongly accuse someone of rape.I don’t know whether Mendy committed these crimes or not and neither do you. FWIW Judges tend to interpret people using phrases like “to be honest” as over egging the pudding or more than that.
I’m glad Mendy has left City but he’s innocent until proven guilty
That’s a bit harsh on someone who so far has been cleared of all charges brought against him that they’ve tried.
In fairness, Mangala looked an exceptional signing and I was delighted when he came in. It just didn’t happen.
Mendy liked getting forwards, didn’t he?Mangala had a few good games and was always professional, even in his last season he came off the bench at Old Trafford and played his part in a 1 goal win which was vital at that stage of the season. Compared to Mendy he was Paolo fucking Maldini

In all seriousness, I’d watch the Europa League highlights on ITV4 on a Friday evening whilst eating a lazy pizza and Mangala was exceptional for Porto. So commanding.
