Mendy was probably stitched up, it didn’t feel at all right that nine women agreed to go home with him and were subsequently abused. I’m not exonerating him here, if he was guilty of one attack it’s still one too many but it does feel like this saga was played upon for financial gain.

Especially since one went back again after claiming she’d already been raped by him previously. All very odd!

Very much so, it’s strange the CPS who are usually so diligent and err on the side of caution allowed some parts of the prosecution to go ahead, as you say, very odd.

IIRC, The only part of the case they didn’t allow to go ahead was in respect of one of the women who researched Mendy’s wealth before reporting him.

I think the other accusers would have been well aware of his identity and wealth, but that’s criminal if someone was making false accusations after researching his background to gain financially, disgraceful.

A dick from day one. Know for a fact he is skint. Messed his life up completely. We got this one badly wrong.

So if he gets released with no charges and his life has been ruined that's okay is it ?

I know a pretty young woman who went to Mendy’s parties who said he never hassled her.

I’ve also spoken to a lawyer who felt there was insufficient evidence to bring these cases. Mendy’s fame and money might have counted against him.

He might not be completely innocent but there’s something that stinks about these attempted prosecutions.

Why would we pay him when he was unavailable for work?

Might be wrong here but we chose to suspend him, nobody forced us too.

That’s a bit harsh on someone who so far has been cleared of all charges brought against him that they’ve tried.

He put himself in that position regardless of what actually happened. He's obviously not the sharpest tool.

Any legal considerations to one side, he clearly wasn’t living the lifestyle of a dedicated professional athlete. From what came out he was partying like he’d won the treble every night.
