Where did you get this photo from? I can't see it on his Twitter or Instagram.
The photo that he posted on twitter yesterday was taken on an iPhone. This is a screenshot and it doesn't look like an iPhone screenshot.
That's an Instagram story rather than an Instagram post, so it'll have disappeared by now. You can see the faint white bar at the top of the photo doing the timing.

Again, these prices make a mockery of the pretense around here that there is some inflated market for players. There isn't. Rodriquez, even though I personally don't rate him, is considered to be a top 10 LB in Europe. Going for 15 million pounds. This suggests a general price of 15 - 30 million for the best LBs outside of LB starting at the very best clubs (I.e Marcelo, Alaba, Alba, and Sandro.).

why dont you rate him, bud?

I think his deadball skills mask an otherwise average footballer. He is good at Freekicks, cornerkicks and penalties. But if you already habe players who do that for your squad as we do in Yaya and Aguero for Pks, Kev, Yaya and Kola for FKs, and Kev, Silva and B.Silva for CKs.

So for us really its his skills at LB that would be key not his extracurricular skills. And those LB skills are quite average.

At left back, he had one less assist than Silva across all competitions last season (Silva 9, Mendy 8). Mendy has been called "arguably the best crosser of the ball in Europe from the left back position." (I'd argue Marcelo is still the best). None of his 8 assist last season came from deadball situations and he had one goal and it wasnt a penalty; in fact, Mendy has never taken a penalty kick, ever. If you don't rate Mendy, that's fine but at least have legitimate reasons why. For example (and I rate him), I think he's defensive positioning and concentration is weak (5-3 at the Etihad for example) yet he's still rated as a decent defender because his athleticism makes up for lapses in concentration. For instance, he's really good at taking the ball off wingers, it's hard to dribble by him and he has an engine so his workrate is superb. He's still young and a bit raw (which I don't think are necessarily negatives) but hopefully, if he comes, he can be molded into a better defender without giving up all he as going forward.

BTW, I'm not taking a shot a Spanish Dave, I know his contributions are bigger than what's on the stat sheet. We bottled a lot of chances that should've been assists for Silva and KDB. And if you've seen enough of Mendy's crossing then you know he should've had a few more assists as well.
