So can we expect 40 pages of air traffic control tomorrow?

Well. If it's already done, as some have said, and the medical was completed in Dubai, as some have said, then no because he'll be flying to the US.

You're pissing into the wind with that one my friend. It's such a simple concept, yet people just can't seem to comprehend why these things happen the way they do.
I find it good practice for if I ever wanted to persue a career in mental health service ;-)

Now I'm not one buy in to the whole rhetoric that the heirachy aren't doing as much as they could and are trying to penny pinch. It's clear as day the market is buoyant and clubs are saying player A went for x so player b is worth y.

But when we signed Bernardo I read that our hierarchy are confident that by the end of the window the price we paid for him would seem like a bargain. Which is ringing true. But given that id like to know if we tried to wrap others up early.

So Mendy. At the end of the season. £35/40m could have got this closed i reckon. A guess granted. Now it's looking like £50m.

Suppose what it boils down to is we did really well to get Bernardo but the knock on effect and market have taken over.

It certainly was entertaining.

Who was the lad called chasing down the Merc?

Needs better prep this time like, no transits to ringway. Fucking bugatti to Liverpool then straight over the Atlantic in a speed boat if wants to meet the jet in Houston.

Personally city shot them selves in the foot when it came to the full backs releasing clichy/sagna and selling clubs knowing full well we will meet there price no matter the haggling as we are in desperate need to replace we were never gonna get them on the cheap.

It's really not that hard to understand.

Monaco demand 57mil or w/e they want, we can then judge that. If we are comfortable paying that then we have a maximum. Our goal is to then get under that, if we can't we can't. Monaco might not want to actually sell him that desperately so if we are comfortable going up to 57mil then alls well that ends well, we get the player and monaco get the money but the negotation isn't good nor is it bad.
However, if Monaco say 57mil and we go Okay, that's fine. We start negotiating at the maximum we want to pay, but Monaco have an assest they wouldn't mind keeping and know we are desperate to sign so they say, well actually we want 65mil now and we either pay it or go elsewhere. This is bad negotiation because only Monaco will win. We either pay more than we want or we don't get the player

Obviously. We are in a shit position because we let all our full backs leave / run contracts down / get old and past it - over the last 3-4 seasons. All the selling clubs know we are pretty desperate and so the prices go up and negotiations stall. The powers that be at the club are aware of of all that, so should have had everything in place. Its becoming clear that they haven't or at least things aren't going as smoothly as anticipated. If we sign three full backs this window then job, jobbed.

Think our signings so far are the minimum we require to compete. Replacement full backs, replacement keeper after joe/ claudio debacle. Silva is a real bonus and hopefully he will add extra quality to the team in a vital area (however I think thought that was one area of the pitch for which we already had a good core of players).
