  1. Lots of rumours but from the video...it looks like he in Paris...

Latest Benjamin Mendy report from SFR Sport being misconstrued enormously: it states only that the player is flying to England.

It isn't more specific than that - Benjamin Mendy's supposed destination is Man City but his reps confirm a flight to England nothing more.

Benjamin Mendy has arrived in Manchester. We could have our second signing before the bank holiday is over. This window is gonna be fun.

Exceptional! Benjamin Mendy posts video of him arriving Paris: "Manchester has changed eh? Everyone chill out."

    MCFC Info Retweeted Benjamin Mendy

    Mendy is NOT in Manchester

Well when people are accountable to absolute fuck all, opinions (based on zero research, mind) quickly become facts. I mean how can people claim that they are absolutely confident that Bernat or say Sessegnon is better than Mendy. Who the fuck has time to watch Fulham play in the championship week in, week out? And if people haven't done that, then how the fuck are they even drawing these absurd comparisons?
Perhaps it has more to do with your reading that what was said. I never said that about Sessegnon.

And for what its worth, this nonsense of "oh you couldn't have seen that many games" is a silly retort. I have seen about 8 to 10 games of Theo, I only needed the 1st two to be convinced. The others only helped my n
Knolege. I've seen Monaco at least 20 times thus season so about 12 to 15 of those involved Mendy. But even if it were the case that I had seen less it still won't matter.

No one questions my opinion about Delph even though I've only seen him 4 or 5 to.re this year. Yet when I or anyone else opines about Delph none of the "muppet makers" moan about having not seen enough of him. Nor so they disavow themselves of their opinions on limited knowledge.

Sure I've seen David and Kev more than Theo or Mendy. But I have an accurate enough picture of both Mendy and Theo. And I didn't need 30 games to do it.

So I always laugh when folks come with the "Oh I bet you've only seen so and so games."

Brilliant trolling if true, not even signed and already clarkied bluemoon.

Fun while it lasted tho mate!;) I'm guessing someone on here would have known if he'd already visited and then met up with the national team in Paris...

i'm getting the feeling that Dax doesnt rate Mendy .... lol
On the contrary, its the position I don't rate. I quite like Mendy just fine. He is a great crosser, moves explosively forward, good at battling possession and an aggressive defender. Also has good strength and athletism. He is an okay tackler,. Has.average defensive positioning, and his passing is iffy, he loses more Ariel battles than his physique suggests he should, plus he has an injury history. So, no I'd conclude he is a 22 -25 million player in an inflated economy.

Professionals, which are people not only chosen for their exceptional ability to spot talent but also have very expensive qualifications and training in this area take a minimum of 10 games to make a decision on a recommendation.

If you've done it in two your opinion is, as I suspected, pointless

I have followed this forum for many years and because you seem to have good knowledge or you proclaim to watch various games around the world, when you make an opinion on a player it sticks in my mind.

Okay, so over the years there has been several of players you wanted City to sign...

Dejan Lovren when at Lyon
Jordan Amavi when at Rennes
Nolito when at Celta Vigo
Boufal when at Lille
Ghezzal when at Lyon
Pastore when at Palermo

I am not questioning your football knowledge in any stretch of the imagination, but sometimes I do feel you make comments on players no one has ever seen just to be different than everybody else. Yes, you may have seen all of these players play when at the clubs I mentioned, but I do feel when it is quite impossible to follow every single player around the world on a regular basis and form a perfect assessment on the player. Even the scouts at city will not have time for that.

Now answer this, where would we honestly be right now if we had signed the players you mentioned above? I do feel that most of the research you do is based off stats and the whoscored website. Like I said, I am not knocking you, but to claim you would rather have Sessegnon above Mendy at this moment in time is absurd.

Nevertheless you can still form an opinion of what you have seen - it's just that for that opinion to be valid you need

a) to be able to process information, and
b) have adequate data
