Looks to me like he's sitting back waiting for the club with the most cash to win the battle for his signature. Doing a 'my lips are sealed' picture would only seem to propogate that message to the clubs negotiating for his signature.

Well that may have been true (and may still be true for all I know) but 'if' Chelsea have entered the race for his signature then the Alves situation should tell you that nothing is ever done until it's actually done.
True, Chelsea are in the frame and this deal is far from done. This should have been finished days ago.

Fuck sake, Jackford you are now a rag lad because you pointed out the fact how this deal should have been tied up, you said days ago I would say weeks ago. The reports came out about Mendy when we signed Silva. Look how quick we sorted stuff out with Walker the second Alves went tits up. No heels should be dragged on our main targets.

Well we saw with Alves that a deal is not done before it is actually signed. Mendy has not signed yet it would seem, so I am a little uneasy. It will be a relief when he finally signs.

They've suspended betting on Danilo which is good I guess but a drop like that isn't great.

I can't remember the actual numbers but psg were linked the day of his wedding and his odds dropped below Chelsea, then below us the day of...doesn't really matter, just means there are bets going in and it could be due to the media reports and we have nothing to worry aboutNot quite. Definitely going Alves on us. Time to walk away and focus on another left back. Loads of PL clubs manage to have a good defence without having some mega bucks backs. Including teams who use them for attacking options. We don't know what is causing the delay but it can only be the selling club's or the player's demands. As I said its time to tell the parties he signs in the next 24 hours or we move on.
