Would he have 9 months ago? That is the point. Ake is a different footballer under Pep. If you want a fair comparison you have to compare Pavard to the Ake we bought…not the Ake Pep developed.

Ake had always been a very good 1-1 defender even before joining Man city.
And Ake was 25 years old when joining.
Pavard is 27.

Although it is not a big age difference, I don't see much reasons in doing so.

Akanji is also 27. I don't see why we buy a player with similar profile and same age as Akanji. A younger talent or a different skill-set player makes more sense.

Pavard and Akanji aren’t that much alike. Plus, Stones is going into his new role next season we that leaves us thin on the right if Walker goes. Pavard is a fantastic player for our system. Cheap too.

Some of our fans think that all our players are the best in their positions. I am sure some even think our youngsters are better now than established top players on United, Liverpool or Chelsea. That is the level of delusion.

If you haven't watched Pavard constantly, then check his stats (which are incredible) and go to Bayern forums, where their fans say he has been one of the best players of this season and all are sad to see that Pavard wants to go.

Why though and what particular instance? I can't remember owt. Did he maybe have a passionate moan at his teammates, maybe wanting them to perform better or seem generally angry?

I'm not his biggest fan but I've never seen him really make mistakes and if he acted a knob at some point, then maybe that could be down to him being pissed off at playing right next to Davot Upamecano.
