benjani is shocking OUT or in?

Mak, Nimely, Poole or Ball (still injured) to name just a few? All been playing well for the reserves. He hardly "won us the match". For most of it he spent it being clueless with his "play the ball into me lads, shit sorry it went 10 feet away from me" play. Took his finish well, but you can't polish over a turd performance with "BUT BUT HE SCORED!!!"
Playing well for the reserves does not mean they are better than established premiership strikers like Benjani who's skill putting the ball away won us the match yesterday. An example of a player that has played well in the reserves but cannot yet hack it in the first eleven is Vladimir Weiss - look at him yesterday - these players need time and while they are learning their trade the Benjani's of this world will carry on doing what they do best.

The point is you will always think somebody is shite and you never miss a chance to go on about it. You spend more time slagging off your current hate figure than you do saying anything else. In fact about 90% of your contribution to this board consists of just telling everybody over and over and over a -fucking -gen how shite you think one player is.

As I said, it started with Vassel, moved on to Dunne and now it's Benjani. When he leaves it will just be someone else.
Your opinion is always going to be concerned first and foremost with complaining and bitterness. Infact you may aswell save your posts and just cut and paste the name as appropriate. I'm sure it will save you a lot of time in the future.

Without Benjani we would be facing a replay against boro which you would no doubt rather have than give the lad any credit at all. I bet it pissed you off big time when he scored.

And look at Richard Dunne now. Not a bad player at all with a bit of support and confidence is he?

Yeah Vassell who did enough to earn a new deal at City......hang on

Yeah Dunne who was going to lead the line for years to come.....hang on

Yeah Benjani who put in stellar performances and banged them in for fun ever since he signed.....hang on

Seems like people "in the game" agree.
Fact is though, they were our players when we couldn't afford or have any others. And they did a job for us. Seems like some people who watch the game realise that... hang on.

Did a job for us, yes. Wished Vassell and Dunne well when they left and it's nice to see Dunne finding some form again at Villa (although recently looked like he did at City). Doesn't mean I can't think they're shite though does it?

OUT he was simply dreadful yesterday(even though he scored!).

Hang on mate you can't criticise Benjani at all! He scored against the rags and he's got a great smile. Hand that man a 10 year contract.

When does it become acceptable on a football discussion forum to discuss an opinion that one of our players isn't good enough?

No it doesn't. You're very vocal about it all though. Probably just me being too defensive about the guys I paid to watch in those dark days.

Never, apparently.

Topics on Benjani wind me up because you get 50 posts about how he "SCORED AT THE SWAMP" "SCORED AGAINST THE RAGS" "TRUE CITY LEGEND" references in almost every post. Then you get people like mutley ranting, raving and calling his human rights abuse lawyers if you dare accuse a player of not being up to standard.

We've all got an opinion, mate. Some won't agree and some will. Moomba is right, we're on a forum for discussion and no doubt you're just as blue as the next blue. Live and let live, hey.
