Benjani

Who gives a shit?

well said.

he got us a vital goal (off his shoulder I think it might have been?) a couple of seasons ago and I'm not going to complain; the guy was injured for a great deal of the time he was with us, and so what about his recent comments?

I wish the guy all the best (since he's at Blackeye Rovers) as long as it's not against us.

Benjani Mwaruwari claims there is "no trust" at his old club Manchester City and that some of their players are motivated primarily by money.

He didn't want money then he didn't play.

He was a panic buy at a time when we desperately needed a striker and inevitably he turned out to be an overpriced crock of shit

Can't believe another prem club has made the same mistake.

I remember at Hamburg when he walked off the pitch and straight down the tunnel for no apparent reason and never came back

One of the most disappointing aspects of a transfer out of a club is that the player you have cheered and prayed to perform out of their skins, and never did, doesn't give a shit about the fans. If they did, they'd keep quiet. Makes me wonder about the waste of effort on our part for tossers like this.

To be fair to Benjani he gives hope to young players trying to make
the grade in professional football he is that bad.

How long has his contract been ended with us, thought he was released ages ago he has not been part of our squad building upto this season, so how would he know. Thanks Benjani for being another EX player slagging us off although like the others you were paid very well as you had long periods injured, join the real world, so many every day folk struggling, work hard, struggle on. Many footballers piss me off these days, they just dont know what the word respect means. His goals against scum and Schalke mean nothing to me now, eff off you ungrateful..............

It really is poor how these players have got so little class. They are rich men, they will continue to earn money we can only ever dream about but they are all ego. Why dont they give a shit about us, the fans, when they start slagging off city?

Benjani really was poor for us yet I never remember the fans giving him stick. We the hell didnt say something positive and carry on his career? I've lost all respect for him now.

I don't know if anyone else saw the full interview?

What was interesting is that the interviewer was obviously there to talk about Blackburn, but saw an "angle" to have a go at City.
He asked Benjani for his thoughts regarding his departure from City,to which he replied "I wish them all the best at City."
My first thought was nice one fella, you of all people won't try and bury the club you've spent 80% of your time at being fantastically paid to "get fit."

Then the interviewer decided that answer wasn't enough, and started to feed Benjani scraps of quote to bite on....which sadly,he did.
It then came across as though once he started chatting the shite we all saw,he couldn't actually stop himself.
I genuinely don't believe that he really knew what he was saying-that it was actually more an attempt to show that he wants to be "loved" by the Blackburn fans as it was an attack on City.Odd.

Either way,the bit at the start of the interview didn't appear in any later "edits....."

Bit sad really-that the smiler should be added to the list of ungrateful, carping twats that picked up the money but who can't admit to themselves that ultimately, they just weren't good enough.

what on earth

can you tall me the last game he started for manchester city
never mind what was his last goal
