Unfortunately it harder to have a good time on a coach these days with all the rules and shit
Is that you Keogh?

Yes it is me, who is this? Your tag name has given me ideas who it is

Keogh... ste... Pugsley? (thats what the big lads used to call him)

Run Coach from wetherspoons in midd,we use Mayne coaches

Saw glinny at notts county, Leicester and wembley semi final, top bloke.

Remember going to Luton for a cup match on a minibus with him driving once, bedlam

Fucking hell this thread brings me back!! I cut my City teeth watching games with these guys. My best buddy from Rochdale, Tommy, knew these guys. I always remember Bernard with a burger in his mouth in a pub somewhere. Glinny is that guy still alive?? Every time I saw him he was a mild mannered bloke drinking a pint and we would sit and have a chat.

I also remember a guy called Albie who was absolutely mental. For soem reason this guy had loads of girls. he got so much pussy it was untrue.

I remember a long session in the Chaddy Tavern after we beat Sundarland (and relegated them) in the early 90's. What great craic that was!!!!

I remember that night, had to walk home to langley as spent up, it was about four in the morning when I left the pub, got home for 7. Three hours doing fuck knows what.

-- Sat May 19, 2012 2:22 pm --

I also cut my teeth going with these lot, I think two out of my first five with these I got nicked (Villa and Leeds away), I was only 17 and a bit wet behind the ears but I certainly got more streetwise pretty quickly.
Glinny is still knocking about, he doesn't go home games but still does the aways, last time I saw him was about 2 years ago.

Was anyone on here on one of the two coaches we took to Stoke for the infamous fancy dress game on Boxing Day. We went from the owl and Spindle, crazy day that.

I was dressed in a sky blue rabbit suit.

I remember you, I was dressed in a chicken outfit complete with green tights, In my defence they didn't have much left in the fancy dress shop

I used to be the secretary of the Chadderton branch of the supporters club, so i knew Bernard and all the other guys mentioned already very well.
I can honestly say during the late 80's and 90's i had some of the best times/very drunken nights with Bernard and the lads.

Do you remember when Swales came to the pub to do an question and answer session. All of us were going to give him what for and tell him how to run the club.

No word of a lie he had us all eating out of the palm of his hand by the time he left. Very charming man indeed

I remember it very well, we actually had some " security" on hand it case it kicked off but as you say he had us eating out of his hand that night.
On a side note ive been reading the James H Reeve thread and James used to be the president of the Chadderton branch, i had many a good drink with James
Does anyone remember the day we played Oldham and the pub opened around 8am and was full by around 10am and actually ran out of beer by around 1.30/2.00pm. Steve the landlord had to ring for more beer to be delivered during the match ready for after the match
