Bernardo Silva: “Something has to change. You learn who you can go to war with, first of all"

Has Pep become a Mourinho like toxic figure in the dressing room? There’s a lot of circumstantial evidence to suggest that’s true. Players getting dumped from the squad for no apparent reason. The teams form falling off a cliff the minute Pep said he was staying another two years. Remember we were unbeaten up to the end of October. Walker being allowed to leave without a replacement. Etc etc

I can understand why some of the players are getting pissed off. No need to name them.

Pep brings them in, they play well, they are benched again, and don’t get any minutes, or a few minutes at the end if the game.

Pep’s constant chopping and changing of settled formations, which really isn’t helping the players or the team. Southampton being the prime example. And to an extent the FA Cup final.

Thing is Bernardo isn’t being benched!!

What goes on in the changing room stays in the changing room. Very unprofessional by Silva.

You do not do that in public.

Good bye, you are the weakest link
Eh?

Nah come off it. He is a legend of the club and can say what he wants.

Big changes needed. We know that and so does pep and Bernie.

We have turned to shit for a lot of reasons but not putting yourself on the line is a big fuck off imo.

Don’t care who it is. Lazy ungrateful pricks. Go stroll around at the rags that shit ain’t welcome here.

He don’t need to name them:

Grealish obviously don’t give a fuck. Prancing around when he comes on.

Walker fucked off the prick.

Savio is useless going forward and does not work hard enough off the ball same goes for Doku.

Akanji still thinks he is playing in the treble team and a walking disaster.

Foden not sure what’s going on so don’t want to jump to conclusions but if he is not willing anymore he can go aswell.

Eddie don’t give a shit and wants more money.

Probably missing a few but it ain’t hard to see who is fucking useless.

Haaland? Huge question mark. Next season will tell its own story.

Warriors:
Bernie
Kdb
Stone
Ake
Dias tho he has dipped abit.
Gundo If he could.
Rodri

No wonder we fucked. Clear the deck and get some new players who ain’t turned to lazy pricks who don’t work hard enough to match our opponents. No wonder teams run through us.

Decent conjecture but he signed an extension when we had already started losing games, 4 in a row I think to the point he extended.

Many players are past their expiration date and it must be frustrating playing every game and struggling when others just sit there collecting their wages. It’s all on them. It’s not like Pep holds a gun to their head.
There is no expiration date for any players.

That’s down to Pep.

Most of our January signings have disappeared without a trace. They aren’t getting any game time, never mind 15 minutes. They signed for City in January, and pretty much became unused subs. They might as well have stayed at their previous clubs playing football very week, instead of sitting on the bench at City.

Like you say down to Pep to make the decisions. If Bernardo was causing trouble I am sure he wouldn’t be playing.

What are you talking ? You sign a decent player at 25. You’re getting atleast 7/8 years out of him. But you’ll get 4/5 good years out of him.
You get the years you get. There is no date on it. When it works it works, it’s not defined by the calendar

Interesting quotes anyway. Just adds to the idea that we need a reshuffle next summer. Any bad eggs in the dressing room will be gone (hopefully) and then gaps in the squad will be filled. I may be in the minority here probably but I’d probably keep Bernardo. One of the only leaders we really have with Rodri and Dias and someone that’s always fit and available and trusted by Pep. The Walker situation wouldn’t have been good for the squad you wouldnt think. Marmoush and Kovacic seemed to be very positive environment but perhaps in heat of the moment things can be said by Bernardo that reflect more of what’s actually going on
