If Bernardo faces any form of punishment for this after Wayne Hennessey was cleared of any punishment because he "didn't know what a Nazi salute was", then it really will be ridiculous. Ridiculous but not surprising.
It honestly makes me crack up when people make these “ he’ll leave” comments. The threads were full of such comments about Foden over the past few daysHe's under contract here, he doesn't have any choice right now.
In this country that tweet on it's own appears racist.
If that tweet was racist, what action is being taken against the Portuguese sweet manufacturer for using a racist character to promote its product? In this country that tweet on it's own appears racist. I am not saying that was the intent, I am not saying Portuguese Bernard is racist. But I do feel that in this country that tweet was always going to be perceived as racist, that's why it was taken down so quickly
I also accept that there is a strong element in the media who seek to hurt and destabilise the club, and that is the reason this is being hyped.
But if that tweet was from Terry to Evra, or Stevie G to Sterling people would be up in arms. Whilst I appreciated this is not in the same context, it's very hard for the FA to say this tweet isnt a problem because he's a great little guy and some of Mr Silvas friends are black. If you start allowing that defence you end up with allowing the media favourites to get away with anything.
And before you say they already do, I know and it is still wrong.
He has written to the fa and benny has backed him up,the fa could say ill advised and education needed, the end, instead they have charged him using inflammatory language and blatantly untrue words, there is no point appealing, once they have charged you thats it,they have branded him racistIn this country that tweet on it's own appears racist. I was referring to your friends when I said "him" sorry about that.Who is "him"? And totally agree on the word coloured, haven't used that term since I first moved to Canada in 1978 and was set straight by a classmate.
