"that FA has been notified", gosh i honestly don't want him to be in trouble i don't think he meant to be offensive

Really poor from Silva, seemingly our most and thoughtful intelligent player.

There clearly is no offence intended IMO, and Mendy will probably find it funny. But pausing for even 5 seconds should have been enough to realise that others may have been offended, and that the press would stir things up.

This type of 'bantz' is what private what's app groups and Snapchat is for.

Was a really uneducated decision. I get that he didn't necessarily mean harm, but we all can cause harm without intending.

The posting "Why I can't joke with a friend" is also a sign of this. I'd rather him have been apologetic than try to defend himself, because an educated person regarding blackface and racial stereotypes would either think twice about doing it not to cause offence, or far better not want to contribute to racist stereotypes in this way not simply to avoid looking bad to the public but because you care.

That comes from learning so I can get why he made a mistake. Sadly when it comes to race, when many make mistakes we go on the defence.

That being said, I don't think banning him for 6 games is the solution as goes the so-called expectation of the FA about "racial abuse."

I also don't think he should be "brainwashed" as I think some fear with the term "educated" as there should be room for dialogue. That's a healthier way to address this than force him to agree or ban him.

Expect it to be discussed at the Labour Party Conference this Week.

With a vote to sensor Bernardo.

And Momentum taking direct action against Bernardo.

Someone needs to kick out....kick it out. Like the rest of the PC left wing snowflake nonsense it makes the very problem it claims to be combating worse.

Some might say thats the idea. After all its in the financial interests of many that racism is either alive and well or failing that make us all believe it is alive and well.

Bernado should tell them to go and fuck themselves. Having said that daft to put it in social media. Infact social media needs to be cast into the fiery pit alongside kick it out and their like.

There's a long, awful tragic history associated with blackface mate. It has been used to demean an entire group of people to be seen as lesser than human and we still face similar problems with monkey chants and other similar events in sport, so how is this not still a problem rather than being "PC?"

There are far more disgustingly important things going on in the world today, than too worry about something two very good friends enjoy ... piss taking out of each other, irrespective of what colour they are.
About time some people paid more attention to wars, religions, rapes, child prostitution, paedophilia, drugs etc.
Too many bastard so called "do gooders" out there.
Get yer fucking priorities right.
Bern dropped a bollock by not sending it privately but for fucks sake to go overboard about his so called "racism" jibe was/is ludicrous.

Events such as these always prompt plenty of users to expose their leanings and usually take an aggressively defensive stance. The upside is that it reminds me to not go on the Off Topic forum.

If you can't express your opinion without resorting to infantile name calling and talking in extremes, you'll look like an ignorant dickhead. On top of that, I'm pretty sure Bernardo would be embarrassed to have people like that defending him.

The one thing really annoying me though is that scousers are up in arms about it, them ****s backed Suarez till the end when he was actually racist on purpose to Evra. Scumbags

He comes from Portugal. Other countries have more freedom of speech. It's enough to stop players wanting to come here.

Dont know if this has been raised in the Silva racist row, but isnt the Kun on Sergios shirt a reference to a lookalike cartoon character!!!!so, maybe Sergio is racist to himself. Media witch hunt anyone??
