Bernardo Silva

Did KDB or Silva ever play as "8" before Pep rocked up? Not many times if at all. Im trying to say that B. Silva is not geniune winger like Sterling/Sane. He can play there but he has the skills to play as a 8 definitely.

He also started as full back.

Jorge Jesus wanted him to play left-back but Silva didn't want to and moved on?

To me it signals their confidence. We just released all our fullbacks and our #1 keeper. Signing replacements is not optional, so to kick off the window by rushing through a deal in arguably our strongest position says to me that they know they've got the rest of the targets locked down.

People need to chill out and enjoy the ride. All this "we need to prioritise in x position" is nonsense. Like you've said we have one fullback, we're obviously gonna buy some, as well as additional players.

As good as confirmation.

Fantastic signing for the long term. The thoughts of both David and Bernado working in concert is mouthwatering to say the least, also gives us continuity of style when DS is injured as well as enabling Pep to rest DS to keep him fresh for the crucial games. The fee looks about right, particularly when you consider Real Madrid have just paid almost €45m for an untried 16 yo. Let's hope this isn't the only one of our signings that will be done early enough for them to join the team for the entirety of preseason so that we can really hit the ground running in August. All we need now is for our front men to make more of the copious opportunities they are going to be presented with.

One hell of a job fitting in silva, bernardo, gundogan, sane, de buryne, sterling, jesus and sergio. All players who should be starting every week.

Brilliant problem to have though. I think Pep wants a squad where he is able to rotate without there being a drop off in quality. And if we pull that off I think we have a brilliant chance to win the CL as our players will not be as burnt out.

Great to see City getting players in as soon as the transfer windown opens. It's fortunate it's not a world cup or euros year, so hopefully we can get deals done in good time for the new players to join up for the start of pre season, although no doubt one or two deals won't be as straightforward.
