All that may be true. The point is, he's no replacement for either Jesus or Sterling. He won't contribute the significant numbers of hoals and assists they do, and it is naive to expect that. Hope he does get more minutes and works his way gradually and steadily into the team, and has a future here. But not at the expense of having a player that can help win things now.

Think the club played a blinder selling Torres to Barca, and the terms/repayments mean they can’t knock again, Pep was pretty clear that he’s confident Barca can’t afford him, it’s a bit like asking your mate to borrow £100 for a night out when you already owe him £50 from ages ago, you both know the debt is there
