Yep these maps were created for 20 / 21 season and that's why Bernardo's map looks like that..
KDB was injured for a long period and he was mainly playing RCM.. Even when KDB returned, Pep used KDB as False9 and Bernardo was still playing as RCM..

Last season KDB didn't have such a long injuries, so Pep used Bernardo as LCM a lot and for the first time he was playing deeper than Rodri sometimes, especially those Liverpool matches where we needed good build-ups..

So it depends, can Jack play that deeper with the ball ? Why not.. We can trust him with the ball everywhere..

The only issue is, if we can trust him with the defensive duties.. Like running back, covering the zones, making tackles.. But these duties aren't that difficult to be learnt.. David Silva was doing it even though before Pep he played whole career as a winger and only Pep moved him to midfield.. Zinchenko learned to be a decent LB, even though he was and still is N10 in Ukraine..

So my idea is -> If Bernardo goes, let Jack play there, give him time to improve and let's see how that turns out.. Skills are there, talent is there, I don't see any problem..

As for the Jesus and his map yep, that guy was insane and still is...

If this was the case why wasn’t Grealish tried in midfield at all last season? Surely he could have been subbed on when a game was won or even tried in the cups.

He is is not going this season but he isn't going to extend his contract and more than likely he will go next summer. There will not be a replacement if he were to be sold in this transfer window.

Why do you think they signed Grealish ? Because Bernardo was ready to go and last minute - Atletico or Barcelona couldn't get the money due to covid situation..

Last year we had the following attackers -> Gabriel Jesus, Ferran Torres, Sterling, Foden, Mahrez and Pep had already told us, how he decided to move Jesus to RW position.. In addition to that we were working on Harry Kane's transfer..

So in the end we could have:

CF -> Kane, Torres
RW -> Mahrez, Jesus
LW -> Foden, Sterling

And somehow we buy Jack Grealish for 100m.. It is obvious that Grealish was bought for midfield position and especially to replace ongoing Bernardo... Grealish started his first game as LCM as well..

But then we couldn't sign Kane, which meant that either Sterling or Foden would be used as CF...
Bernardo stayed and Jack was moved to LW position..

So, if we look at these facts, it's clear that Jack was signed as a Bernardo's direct replacement..

Compare Bernardo / Grealish maps here, it was created before the last season.. They look pretty similar to me... Difference is in flanks..

His heat map looks almost exactly like Foden and Sterling - the left-wingers…..
 
Barca cannot register the players they have already signed and if Bernardo was there first choice of all the players they have shown interest in then surely they would have signed Bernardo first.

And they are struggling to pay the players they already have. Barca are a club built on sand, any player going there wouldn't be sure if they would be paid every month. They owe Pique 80 million in unpaid wages don't they?

Bernardo is their choice only if frenkie moves. Frenkie hasn't been very open to move.
 
Though I liked the players involved a lot, I wasn't ultimately that upset about our other recent outgoings. However if/when Bernardo goes to that bunch of self-important, arrogant, dodgy as fuck bunch of scutters I think I'm going to be quite upset.
