Bernardo Silva

SSN twats plugging a “could Bernardo Silva be on his way out of Manchester City” narrative this morning.

Bernie’s response was “what’s really important is that I’m planning my season as well as possible, and whilst I play for Manchester City I will always give my best. My relationship with the club, with the fans, with my team mates, is fantastic and I will always respect that.”
Tbf that interview gave them everything they needed. You can see if the right offer comes in then he's away.

SSN - "what about the links to PSG?"
Bernardo - "bunch of cheese eating surrender monkeys, rather eat my own gonads than go there"
City - "we've just accepted a bid from PSG for you"
Bernardo - "Merd"

You can see why footballers give vague answers that don't say anything. To them, it's a job. If someone asked one of us in front of our boss whether we'd be up for a move to a new company, we'd obviously say we were happy where we were whilst wondering how much they were offering and Googling their vacancy page.

Gutted to listen to that interview, thought last season and the addition of Haaland would have brought a reset in his thinking.

Bernie clearly couching his words because he still thinks there might be an opportunity to leave this window.

That's why the claims we rejected Neymar for Bernardo doesn't smell right.

There's absolutely no way we would reject such a deal, zero.

Bernie and his missus would jump at Paris and the lifestyle he and his missus enjoy.

I'd be on the blower right now if it was ever an option. More surprised Soriano and Pep didn't snap hands off...

Is Paris much better than England? Iv been twice and it's a shithole and its full of French people. The weather is just as shit and the food portions wouldn't fill a child. Ligue 1 is also shit.

Over the last few weeks there's been word on BM that Bernie wasn't only staying for the season, but would be looking to extend. That interview's tossed his immediate City future up in the air, & now PSG suggesting a swap with Bernie makes sense.

At best it looks like we'll get one more season out of him before having to sell, as he'll be into the final 2 years of his contract.

I thought PSG had been sniffing snail tracks & pulled Bernie's name out of the clouds. Now I'm more inclined to think Bernie's agency team have made it known he wants to leave City if a deal can be struck with us.

Fuckin gutted, but it is what it is. If we can get £80m+ for him, we should thank him & let him go, move Foden into the centre & seek a left-sided forward to replace Sterling.

Next summer we'll have the issue of Gundog being out of contract & a 32 year old KDB to concentrate our minds too. It never ends.... )(
