Bernardo Silva

The problem with losing Bernardo is that we have a potential replacement in Bellingham but I can’t see Dortmund selling till next season. KDB, Gundogan, Foden, McAtee isn’t enough in creative midfield especially as KDB and Gundogan have had injury issues and Foden is our best left winger.

If Bernardo leaves I think we should look for a Gundogan replacement this summer, someone like Matheus Nunes. Have him bed in for a season and minimise the loss of Gundogan next summer.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Mendes has agreed a deal with Barca and is only waiting for them to get the funds. Wouldn’t even be surprised if he has planned to sell Nunes to us hence the move to Wolves hasn’t happened yet.

All the same Bernardo would be an incredible loss and would very possibly mean a transitional season ahead unless we were very lucky with a replacement.
Is Bellingham like for like with Bernardo though? I don't think he's as creative. He's more your classic central midfield all rounder & not a specialist creator or defender.

I think Foden is closer to Bernardo in this respect, but with Gundog looking like he'll be departing next summer, Bellingham is more a replacement for him I'd imagine.

If Bernie does leave, I think the focus will shift onto securing Bellingham for Gundog next season, & a left wing replacement for Sterling which will become a priority signing. Joao Felix?

We've been carefully balancing the books all year & currently have a transfer surplus. Perhaps the Bernardo news breaking overnight explains why? )(

Is Paris much better than England? Iv been twice and it's a shithole and its full of French people. The weather is just as shit and the food portions wouldn't fill a child. Ligue 1 is also shit.
Paris and the French are fucking ace

I don’t think there is a like for like replacement for Bernardo. Bellingham might replace his energy and defensive cover. Foden his creativity, close ball control and dribbling but I don’t know if any other players with his skill set.

Dreadful if Bernardo ending up in Paris with their array of decent but uninspiring midfielders. He might well be still friendly with Mbappe though which may explain the link.

Gutted to listen to that interview, thought last season and the addition of Haaland would have brought a reset in his thinking.

Bernie clearly couching his words because he still thinks there might be an opportunity to leave this window.

That's why the claims we rejected Neymar for Bernardo doesn't smell right.

There's absolutely no way we would reject such a deal, zero.

Bernie and his missus would jump at Paris and the lifestyle he and his missus enjoy.

I'd be on the blower right now if it was ever an option. More surprised Soriano and Pep didn't snap hands off...
I’d be on the blower too, telling psg to fuck right off.
