If ever there was an obvious demonstration of corruption in European Football rules, it must lie in Barcelona. OK I know Pep is a Catalonian and a fan, but how can Barcelona be selling off rights to finance purchase of new players when they are around a billion Euros in debt? Same goes for the Rags. It is a bad and corrupt system when most of the negative publicity is focused on us.
I hope they go out of business. The way they’re run is a disgrace!

Nail on the head & this goes back to 2009/10 when David Gill changed the terms of Financial Fair Play from tackling debt, to stopping legitimate investment just to stop City.

Barça are in £1.5bn worth of debt, but as long as they can service that debt, they're fine by FFP. HOWEVER if Sheikh Mansour decided to invest £1.5bn into City's squad, that's not allowed! BUT if he legitimately loaned £1.5bn from a registered bank & we could afford the repayments, that's perfectly legal.

FFP is plain fuckin bent. But we already know this... :-|

They're not about to go bankrupt - simply because they've effectively sold around 25% of their TV income for 25 years, and are potentially selling 50% of merchandise income shortly.
Short term gain, possibly long term pain
They are on their way back, similar to us under Peter Swales, appallingly run and nearly destroyed, Barca will be back, make no mistake about that.

I'm not sure if all City fans properly appreciate just how important he is to us. Him going would be close to disastrous. Bernardo, like Nasri and Merlin before him, is one of those players who just effortlessly keeps the ball, and very rarely misplaces a pass. He's almost never caught in possession. He is a hub around whom play is constantly recycled until a crack appears in the opposing organisation. That is truer of him than KDB (who of course can pull things out of the hat that Bernardo cannot). Such players are like gold for the more ‘flair’ players of the team. It just wouldn't make sense to have recruited a player like Håling only to let a player like Bernardo go.
It won't happen.

It won't be disastrous. do not overrate bernardo as well. He is not still important as Rodri, KDB or say Ederson who are fundamental to how we play. We will definitely miss him, but pep will adapt the game to minimize his loss
