What has happened to Bernardo's fitness. I saw a TV close-up about 10 minutes after he came on against Madrid and he looked totally shattered. Last season he had an incredible engine, our hardest-working player. It is almost as if he has had some sort of illness which has hit his fitness levels. He hasn't had the same intensity and it pre-dates the racism incident.I hope you are wrong but it doesnt look good. He has been below par ever since all that racist bollocks. I think he is one of the worlds nice guys from how he comes across, and to be accused of racism would have hurt him. Perhaps he would rather not be in the country where he will always get that thrown at him, I know I would be off and I predicted there was a danger of it when it all happened.

More than slightly playing him down there. Slow initially in the first half of his first season as he adapted, then very good for the second half
His second season was genuinely world class. He was easily one of the best midfielders in the world and was literally being talked about as a top 10 player this time last year. He made the Ballon D'or shortlist! This season slow, yes, but its not quite one just 'good' season in three. It was a damn sight better than that. You don't give up on someone that cheaply who clearly has that much ability. Stones' time at City doesn't even come close to Bernardo's. He's never had a season like Bernardo had.
