I really hope you are right mate but when it comes to Barca we have this clouded judgement and we are that concerned with keeping our players and ex players happy that we will lo ball. As for reinforcements coming in we never replace a big player in the same window as it takes time to look for the right player. For the record I would have told silva he isn’t going anywhere this sumner .

I’m generally more of a facts than an opinion man, so I prefer to go with the clear statements the Club have communicated on this as at least they’re based on evidence - but many will prefer to ignore their words and go straight to a worst case scenario gut feeling. Which is entirely their prerogative.

This is nonsense. They won't liquidate or will be allowed to liquidate. Spanish Government and others will be all over this to save them. Barcelona and Real Madrid are those two clubs whihc they think can stand against force of EPL. If they go down, La Liga ends and it becomes monopoly and farmers leaguenlike BuLi and Ligue1

If Bernardo departs in this window, I would hope he is replaced straight away and we don't leave it untill January. It's not like City have not been aware that he wanted to leave so hopefully as per recent links with Nunes and Paqueta that we will try to get a replacement in now.

There's no time left to negotiate with another club to get a quality player in to replace him and Barca have no money to pay us the transfer fee let alone the players that are already there.

Plus the Messi situation with us I wouldn't deal with them for any other players, which was why I was surprised we dealt with them with Ferran Torres.

It's very bizarre and I just don't see any logic in this.

What is Bernie doing? Seriously. He is trying to join a club which might liquidate in few years, City is right now frankly one of the top 3 club in the world. This is such a stupid decision on his part and his agent is a **** too.

It's the most stupid thing a player could do at the moment. Joining Barcelona is not the same as joining them when Pep was in charge of them, it's a club built on sand.

Has de Jong officially left Barcelona or is still hanging on in at the club? Nothing is going to happen until that transfer takes place and even that leaves them short in matching our current valuation. That statement is more of a thankyou rather than a goodbye message from Bernardo. Plenty of jumping the gun here in this thread.
