If Bernardo departs in this window, I would hope he is replaced straight away and we don't leave it untill January. It's not like City have not been aware that he wanted to leave so hopefully as per recent links with Nunes and Paqueta that we will try to get a replacement in now.

Don’t know we played 2 games with silva on the bench and when he has come on the game has been won! City always want to buy the right player they might have to wait till January

Bernado’s work rate is always beyond 100% and he has had many stellar individual performances, even when David Silva was still here.

I don’t have a clue why he would want to move apart from having a Navas-ish epiphany to move cities. Him and KdB are the only two all-rounder midfielders.

Seems inevitable to me that he’s wanting to move he doesn’t seem as attached to the club now as he was before. A bit like Sterling then and the Sterling that wanted to leave. End of the day I guess football is just a job for some and adds to the resume.

I can’t think of anyone available to replace like for like. Leroy Sane comes to mind but he’s more of wide winger cutting in type than a run circles round players type.

I don't see this working out imo

There's no time left to negotiate with another club to get a quality player in to replace him and Barca have no money to pay us the transfer fee let alone the players that are already there.

Plus the Messi situation with us I wouldn't deal with them for any other players, which was why I was surprised we dealt with them with Ferran Torres.

It's very bizarre and I just don't see any logic in this.

Unless Barcelona match our valuation. We had kept an unhappy Raheem Sterling for a couple of seasons and we didn't give him away to Chelsea with one year left on his contract. Brighton got £60m for a player who had one season and one Cap to his name and who handed a transfer request.
