I agree, I think he’ll sign with a specific release clause in the contract.

I could definitely see this happening - he’s still on a (comparatively) low salary relative to his importance to the team.

A pay rise with a clear release clause written into the contract, allowing him and Mendes to get their move so long as we receive an acceptable fee, feels like the best solution for all parties.

Plus it will calm all the noise for the season ahead, allowing him to get his head down and focus on helping us win the Quad this year!
