Bernardo Silva

It’s so good news he stays this season, and hopefully extend. But it’s very bad news for one player: Grealish.

In midfield, De Bruyne can’t be dropped, Gundogan might extend as he still has so much class, and if Bernardo stays, I can’t see Grealish staying at our club. Once Alvarez is up to speed on the wings, he will compete with Foden, Mahrez and Alvarez for the wings. In midfield, the competition is too big. He won’t bench Gundo, Bernardo or KDB.

There really is no room for Grealish in this team, especially if Bernardo decides to extend with City. That would be the end for Grealish.
I hope I can alleviate your fears.

As the club said they wouldn't let Bernardo go without a replacement, his staying doesn't really affect competition for places.

Grealish will be absolutely fine and get plenty of minutes. He'll mainly play on the left side of a front 3. He and/or Foden might drop into midfield in case of injury to one of our CMs, or to give them a rest from time to time.

Bernardo will be competing (as usual) with Gundogan and KDB for the midfield slots and so if he stays, I don't see it having any real affect on Grealish's playing time and I believe that by the end of the season, he'll have played as many minutes as most.
