If we are a highly successful team then why shouldn't stick to what we have got and wait for the correct target. Harry Kane did us a favour in turning us down.
When we didn’t get Kane, we were used to playing a certain way and that wasn’t a problem. We also had options in the squad. Being successful one season does not mean you get successful the next. I couldn’t name several examples here. If anything, there are more examples of teams that are successful one season and sit still then have a drop off than the opposite. We were successful with Gundogan and Mahrez. We replaced Gundogan with a lesser player. We haven’t replaced Mahrez. That isn’t “sticking with what we got”. You’d have to be stupid not to understand that

Cancelo was covering a lot of minutes for months. You take him out of the squad as ask the other players to play when he did, how does it work? With Ake and Stones having injury issues constantly, and others eventually. How does the squad look at the end of the season?

And who is saying PANIC buy with a month to go in the transfer window?? We have a scouting department with answers to all our needs.
Especially funny is that when we did panic buy (Akanji), we won the treble. And people here thought we didn’t need him
Like Saka and Martinelli who for the first time ever avoided injury last season? Maybe they revert to type this season.

Kovavic may not chip in with goals but it doesn't make him a lesser player to Gundogan. We still have last seasons' second and fourth top goalscorer at the club.

Gundogan is a much, much better than Kovacic and he was even before he joined us. That doesn’t mean Kovacic can’t be of use to us. I want him to succeed. But effectively it is a downgrade

I don’t get your point here. They were unlucky with injuries and we were luck. It happens. Football is not just process, there is an element of luck. It can change in a minute, ask Klopp
They had three injuries. Jesus, Saliba and Partey. We had at least two. De Bruyne and Foden. Funny that Jesus and Partey are now expendable. Don't give me Zinchenko and Tierney because they are both on the way out too.
Klopp runs his team into the ground plus they are fucked when the ventolin is left out for a season to prevent the heart failure.
Just predict your champions league places for next season, Mr Optimistic
