Bernardo is brilliant, and I for one would not want to see him leave. It does seem he wants to go and we have a policy of not keeping players who wish to leave. We do have Foden to cover his position, that would also free up Grealish. The issue I would have is our squad depth is not a strong if he does go. I believe he will leave if not this window within the next two.

In reality we are one down on players that are likely to play any part. For the academy players you mention, there will be other academy players taking their minutes.

Get a LB and keep Bernardo we’re fine barring an injury crisis. Lose Bernardo and we’re in a bit of bother depending on who replaces him. Identifying and getting the LB has been an issue for quite some time.
