That strongly reminds me of a passage from Trevor Griffiths' terrific play about would-be stand-up comedians learning their trade at night school somewhere in Manchester: Comedians. In it Ged Murray, who is a staunch blue, comments that if he came home and found Colin Bell in bed with the wife he'd mildly go and brew him a cup of tea.

Bernado now knows how valuable he is here and in my opinion the most impressive thing is the club have shown they care about him as a person not just a player. Which in this day and age doesn’t happen as much as it should.

I hope the rumours of a new contract are true.
