I don’t see any problem with this response - he’s honest as always, and it’s no secret to any of us that for personal reasons he’d like to play in Spain at some point, but he’s respectful and committed whilst he’s with us.

Personally I think it’s probably time to grant him his wish this summer, and with Gundo likely to leave as well, use this as an opportunity to refresh our midfield.

Arguably we’re a touch predictable this season, and other teams have worked us out.

If we do go ahead with deals for Bellingham and Perrone, for example, this would give us a very different approach for next season - with a lot more energy at the core of the team.

He just wants to retire with his boyhood club. One more contract here then benfica awaits Bernie you know it's right!

He wants to leave ASAP so he can fit in another club before returning to Benfica at 32/33.

Only if a club comes in for him with a fee we will except think we will take around £50/60m this summer! Can’t see Barcelona paying that maybe psg?

Reading the quotes looks like he will see out his contract and leave on a free..
no he is moaning. he is essentially saying he feels bad city are holding him to the contract and how he wishes he was somewhere else. basically showing contempt to the club.

frankie is shit rather get a young perrone and bellingham
we cash use the straight up cash on those two.

Gundo & Silva being replaced by De Jong & Jude would be pretty decent for me. Perrone can understudy them both

Mendes needs to bring an offer and get this done
This is helping no one.
Problem is he doesn't have many suitors not at price we will ask. Barcelona? Atletico? Probably PSG? No one else can afford him

He freely and knowingly signed a contract with an end date , all city are doing is legally holding him to the contract end date. Unless a club can be found by Bernie who are willing to pay an acceptable fee to City for Bernie's services then shut the fuck up with the moaning .

I agree with this. Bernardo has been great for City but as Pep has said time and again: "If people don't want to play for this club they are free to go." I would hate Bernardo to spoil his legacy so it's time to say goodbye. His performances so far this season, especially on Saturday, have been sub-standard. Perhaps he just needs a fresh challenge. He needs to stop gobbing off to the media. It didn't do Ya Ya any good did it?
