You also have to factor in the Coffee Bernardo makes. ;-)

That alone makes him priceless. :-)

You read this and it reads like he is ready to move on and whine down his life with his wife and child that’s coming..

Think it’s time for him to go now..

Bernardo Silva: "This has been the best year of my life.
Winning the #UCL to marrying my bride and to soon be having our first child, it's definitely been one to remember.
Marrying Ines and becoming a father means so much more to me than my professional life..

Nobody is paying the money yet again. Think Bernardo will need to stay another season :)
I think that's it - aside from the Saudi teams, there are only 3/4 teams he could move to.

PSG, Barca, Madrid, Bayern - None of them are going to splurge 60-70 million on him when they're either broke or have more important positions to fill

Unfortunately it appears we’ve telegraphed a figure at which we’ll let him go. So £70m and some of the other numbers being bandied about simply aren’t going to happen.

And it matters not a w**k what the Gooners are paying for Rice.

Nobody sees a car on the forecourt ticketed at £20k and offers £22k.

Why because he values.his wife and baby over playing football

I'm sat in hospital waiting for.the birth of my first , and right now anything else In my life is second

Building a house in Portugal to bring his kids up could be good for us.
If he moves his contract would be more than the 2 years he has left with us, his first child will not be schooling for 3 years at leas, so staying here until his contract runs out makes sense.
Free to Benfica to enjoy his twilight years where he can play on in a warmer climate.
Another legend looked after by our club.

There's no way 45-50 is happening, I don't believe the club would sanction that.

80m or so from those other reports I can believe though.

I prefer to keep him, but also if he really wants to go and we get good value, I'm okay with that too.

Will depend on our other business I reckon. If we end up selling a load of the youngsters, Laporte, Mahrez and so forth and banking a nice chunk of money. We may drop the price of Bernardo to help his move as a reward for his performances.

I don't think it's about our current cash flow.

I believe even if we don't sell him we could buy our targets.

I think it's to send a message that no matter what, we don't sell for cheap, 80m is already fantastic value for any club to get him, 50m is fleecing us.

We can still respect his wishes, but he has to understand that a club has to meet us a certain way there.

If Bernardo wants to leave I’d be amazed if the club haven’t just said bring x amount (70m) by x date
I would then imagine we would already be ready to drop 90/100m on a top class midfielder

I get this but also you also need to be realistic. I think there is only so many transfer windows we can keep having this dance with Bernardo. Sooner or later he is not going to be happy to stay here and it will impact us. Now he is married and has a baby on the way this has just been accelerated.

You can’t lose Bernardo and Gundo in the same window absolutely no chance.
We can and will if the fee is reached. He has seen so many legends depart free so it’s only fair we show him the same curtesy. If the £70m fee is real and for how he has performed on the pitch and conducted himself off the pitch then it’s fair. We all know the fee is low but that’s not what matters here. Wonderful player and I wouldn’t want him staying and being pissed off, if the time is now it’s now.

I hope not.

I can see Pep being livid if we lose both Gund and Bernardo after we failed on Bellingham and Rice too.

Plan was to get Bellingham, keep Gundo for 1-2 years more and keep Bernardo as well for sure. Having none of them there come the PL start in 5 weeks would be a bad window clearly as whoever are their replacement may need full 12 months to bed in or wont even work out just as they worked out or in case of Bellingham hard to see another young talent around with that much potential.

Bernardo wife being pregnant imo another sign he will want to move, doubt his wife loves Manchester life much, nd now being pregnant even more reason to be closer to his and her family...

we need to make sure going forward our players only marry local mature ladies who are used to their own ways and last thing they want to do is change country. :)
