If a decent offer has come in he would have been away imo.
Which has nothing to do with him. We've had a lot of players that have left because they weren't 100% happy here. Bernie hasn't exactly been sulking or running this club down in the meantime. A "decent offer" coming in isn't on him and yes, if one had come we'd've possibly let him go. Bottom line he's been a faithful and tireless servant to this club and is at the level of few. His game has not been impacted by his emotions so any negative feelings toward him relative to that are pretty much irrelevant.

Him signing a new contract is great and all, but it leaves somewhat of a sour taste this time round. I think it's clear he's had his head out the door for a while now, and hasn't been 100% committed to staying here. If a decent offer has come in he would have been away imo.
And ?

I'm exactly the opposite. Signing a new deal is indicative of him putting the uncertainty behind him. If he doesn't commit one way or another this summer I would be saying it'd be better to sell him.

I’d be amazed if he signs a new deal after the past few windows of wanting out. He’s always said (/leaked) that it’s lifestyle and not sporting project making him want to go. What’s changed?

I hope he has changed his mind but I just can’t see it.

Unless the deal has a minimal release clause.
Well if you haven’t noticed the most obvious “change “ than let me break the news ,
He shaved his hair ffs.
