Bersant Celina

Unfortunately Celina plays for a club that expects to win trophies. With that pressure, a manager is very unlikely to give you a chance unless you play so well you give him no choice.

I think he could have been given more chances before now. The one chance he got against Chelsea, he was played out of position with too many youngsters in the team. However, I still don't think he should come out witht he words he has done in that interview. It smacks of defeatism and is unlikely to impress any manager.

You could say Sane has been fortunate in that he has played for a club where expectations are much lower and therefore been given a chance, which it seems he has taken.
He actually got a few minutes in 2 earlier FA cup games and a few in a PL game, I thought he was just being honest rather than defeatist.

I am sorry Colin but the best players have an arrogance and self belief I just don't see in some of our young players. You need an edge to succeed at the top level, because it's dog eat dog and as we have seen throughout the years, clubs will always go out and buy who is perceived as the next big thing.

Now I do hope Celina can be successful in the future, like all our young players. I just want to see them be prepared to meet the challenge head on and not give a fuck who signs for the club!

Unfortunately much of the damage to most of the current outgoing EDS players ie.20 or above was done by Pellegrini..He might have helped the situation by giving them a look and promoting the standouts whilst loaning/selling the surplus at a profit (A proper coach would spot this)..There might be a clog with the u18s now stepping up and a few 20 or above 'EDS' players..The lower levels ie.U18,U16 have impressed me more and that's where Pep may intergrate the standouts ie.Brahim into the team over time whilst handling the below par ones properly ie.loans/sales.

Celina is 19. He got given 3 games last season when he was in good form for the EDS

Pellegrini didn't hinder Celina at all.

Thats not exactly fair now is it.

He played well when he came on against Leicester when we was already 3-0 and set up Aguero for the goal only to be put back into the EDS and not seen again until the Chelsea game where he played left midfield in a 4-4-2, he was also having to help out defensively because Kolarov was playing (he also put M. Garcia RM which was even more ridiculous)

Going on loan will be the best thing for Celina. He's a blunt and brutally honest guy who understands the situation. He's at the point in his career where he needs continuous playing time somewhere. If i'ts FC Twente then that's fine. Just go out and play.

Where are you imagining him playing if not on the wings? He's got absolutely no chance of making it here as a 10.

They`re not taking him as they wont meet his personal terms.Fuck knows how much we`re paying him then.

There is an inherent problem in being a number 10 in that you are neither a striker or a midfielder and you have to be good enough to justify being a striker that doesn’t score and a midfielder that doesn’t tackle.

For that reason many aspiring 10’s end up on the wing or doing some other job.

It’s also worth mentioning that Nacho is also a number 10 that can play as a striker. Pellers gave Nacho enough opportunities (in the end) to establish himself and he played a big part toward the end of the season. To suggest he did not do enough to ‘help’ Celina is overlooking the fact that he brought through a similar youth player at the same time.

Celina could do with a loan.
