My nomination from '73 is Time Fades Away, Neil Young. The trough of the ditch trilogy...

The contrary bugger refuses to release it on CD, so if you want to listen you have to track down an old vinyl record. However, it's there on Youtube...

There's an on-line petition for him to release it on CD, but he ain't listenin'
