Best atmosphere ever at the Etihad ?

The atmosphere cant have been that good cos Ian Wright says in the sun this morning "the atmosphere was okay but I thought it would be a lot louder"and Mr Wright is aways right of course.
What a load of twaddle.

I think it was, just edged the hamburg game for me
The Hamburg atmosphere has always been grossly overrated.

Last night was the best ever at that stadium...by a big distance!

I'm in the "family stand" and we out sung the South Stand again. It's going to take some beating the atmosphere last night.
I sit in 105, right on the half way line, so i can get a good judgement of where the noise comes from in our stadium. I can honestly say that North Stand has been the best stand in the ground in many games this season.

For me, the best Etihad atmosphere ever - and I was at both the Hamburg game and the CC semi 1st leg against the rags

first, almost everybody had reached their seats before the kick off - the noise when the teams came out, the poznan when the rags team was announced, the noise, the hostility, the 'blue moon' before the kick off - all top class

then during the game there was pretty much constant noise - usually there are fairly long periods without a great deal of noise - not last night.

then there was the roof coming off when Vinnie scored. I think we all knew how important the first goal was. Then half time came and it was fantastic

there were the choruses of 'invisible man' and 'blue moon' - and the hey jude at the final whistle was incredible. I have been to internationals at Twickenham and Wembley, I was at the final in May, and I have watched games here and in Europe - last night. Hey Jude was the loudest thing I have ever heard in a sports ground ever. In fact, it was probably the loudest thing I have ever heard that wasn't electronically amplified.

Two other things - first, this was the biggest league game certainly since that feller in the 70s suit painted the penalty spot on the pitch at Derby and possibly since Newcastle in '68. Second, 650 million people were watching. And the crowd responded absolutely magnificently. We were part of the team effort last night.

That is why, for me, last night was the best atmosphere I have ever experienced at the Etihad. But it can be even better against QPR...

A fine post mate.

It was a top top occasion.

Now lets make sure it was just the first of three. QPR will be an even better occasion if we can get past the barcodes.

"Hey Jude" was something else!!
Heard people say that it could be heard loud and clear in the city centre!

Imagine we could sustain that level every game. Probably not possible as a game like City vs. Norwich won't elicit such raw passion and emotion but it just shows how good our atmosphere can be. We've had a fair few strong atmospheres this season, often when we were in losing positions and in the old familiar role of underdogs.

I thought the atmosphere before & after the match was the best i've ever seen it at the Etihad...

During the game there were 'quiet(ish)' spells but i would put this PURELY down the nerves.

The best thing i thought about the atmosphere was that when we sung, the WHOLE ground sung. Not just the south stand, the whole ground. Thats what it should be like..every game

Proud Blue last night. well done all.
Only this.
