I usually say Van Halen at Madison Square Garden in 1981 was best gig I saw.

Seen lots of fantastic gigs (I’ve got over 1,000 performances listed on setlist.fm. Aside from VH, best live acts I’ve seen multiple times are The Rolling Stones, Springsteen, Rush, Kiss, The Foo Fighters, Queen and Blue Oyster Cult.

Hard to pick one. Zep at Knebworth stands out as does every Rush concert.

Best value was Twisted Sister at Ashton Metro for £2.50.

Most disappointing was Transvision Vamp when Wendy James came out in grey trouser suit.

Cheap Trick are my all time favourites, and I have seen some great gigs by them. The best being L*verpool, Cavern Club a few years ago, and their gig at Harley Davidson Cafe, Vegas opening night.

But my favourite ever was Prince at NEC Birmingham on te Lovesexy Tour 88. (In the round). But that was topped in 2014, at Manchester Academy, by the same man, Prince & 3rdeyegirl Hit & Run Tour ... just faultless.
