Good shout! Was that the game Ali did that outrageous back flick for goater to volley home? Or was that v Wednesday? I loved kevs city side....I thought that was going to be as good as we would ever get in my lifetime! What a signing Ali was! Shame he wasn't 6 years younger when we got him hey!Birmingham away in the Keegan season in the Championship. Benarbia had joined us. I was lucky to be in amongst the Brum fans (stayed very quiet). It was the first time I'd seen us play such good football. A Brum fan sitting next to me said to his mate 'we're at least 5 years away from this lot' and he made a few comments about how good we were. Still think about that game.
Oh, and Madrid at home.......
My lasting memory of that game was a tourist of far east origin making his way to his seat at the 25 minute mark and him looking up at the scoreboard with a very puzzled lookEarly in the 19/20 season
City 8 Watford 0
5-0 up after 18 minutes
The Sane goal was a work of art. They couldn't get near us as we zipped numerous passes around them. 3 exquisite goals.https://www.sofascore.com/football/match/arsenal-manchester-city/rsR#id:7437969,tab:lineups
There were some superb games against Arsenal in the 17-18 time. This game sticks out for sublime football and D. Silva at his glorious best.
I’m certain the back heel was v Gillingham although I might be wrong.Good shout! Was that the game Ali did that outrageous back flick for goater to volley home? Or was that v Wednesday? The pinnacle for me was the 1st half v madrid. It was the closest thing to perfection I'd ever seen by any side I'd ever seen in my 50 years of breathing on this planet!
