Best City Visually?

I loved Rome it was a beautiful place but there was lots of graffiti sprayed everywhere ;o(

Looking down The Strip in Las Vegas at night is a great sight

In order,

1) Paris: Beauty, history, culture
2) Hong Kong: Size, scope, Victoria Harbour
3) Munich: Downtown, architecture and surrounding countryside
4) Salzburg: History, architecture, Mozart and Sound of Music ;)
5) Tokyo: Hustle and bustle, culture, food

Haven't been to Oz or NZ, so can't comment on them.

In Jolly Old, it has to be the Lake District and Cornwall. LOVE the British countryside!

No place like it in the world and miss it A LOT living in the Chicago's suburbs. Speaking of which, Honorable Mention to Chicago, as long as you go between June and September!! Not many cities have a sandy beach and clean, swimmable, SAFE water a few meters from world class downtown shopping and dining.

Have to say, Cornwall, although not a city is great and St Ives would be my fave. However part of that is because it like being abroad when you aren't. St Ives in the south of France would be ten to the penny I guess. South Wales around mumbles is the same. Breathtaking but is part of that because you wouldn't expect it so close?

When you look back at Sidney from the Manley ferry thats a spectacular view.

Best way to look at Sydney is when it is behind you, no bias ;)
Yeah right,6 pages on and no one has mentioned Melbourne have they,
even though I don't mind the place myself, but for natural beauty Sydney harbour is hard to beat. The centre of Sydney isn't up to much,it's a testament to 60's and 70's local political corruption, whole swathes of Victorian and Edwardian buildings demolished for non-descript sky scrapers.
