Always rely on you :)

I will suggest this to the missus for our next trip based on your recommendation - any specific areas of interest?

Any visit to Hull would be incomplete without a visit to the Bransholme Estate - a place recently voted the worst place in Britain to live.
Even crackheads are moving out in disgust.
Then there is the wonderful 70's architectural masterpiece that is Hull Precinct, where apparently there was once a queue to jump off the multi storey car park, or the local park with record levels of muggings and sexual assaults.
I could go on and on, but I simply don't want to spoil your visit in advance.
Amazingly, they have a tourist information centre.
Boy, do those folk earn their money.
It is twinned with Helmand Province.

Completely agree NF. As you leave the M62 and drive along Clive Sullivan Way past the Humber Bridge, you could be forgiven for thinking you are heading for a lovely looking place. All this soon changes though. You'll soon be marvelling at areas such as Preston Road, Longhill and Orchard Park. Each one of these estates bosts a vast array of takeaway shops, all of which are prepared to deliver your order direct to your front door!
I believe the nation's biggest branch of B & M Bargains can be found on the Sutton Fields Industrial Estate and nip into any of the bars throughout the City whilst live football is on and you'll find hordes of passionate Liverpool and Manchester United fans pretending they love their club of choice.
Would you believe me if I told you there was an area of the City that's actually called Gypsyville?

When you look back at Sidney from the Manley ferry thats a spectacular view.

Best way to look at Sydney is when it is behind you, no bias ;)
Yeah right,6 pages on and no one has mentioned Melbourne have they,
even though I don't mind the place myself, but for natural beauty Sydney harbour is hard to beat. The centre of Sydney isn't up to much,it's a testament to 60's and 70's local political corruption, whole swathes of Victorian and Edwardian buildings demolished for non-descript sky scrapers.

Just pulling your chain, mate.
Sydney is beautiful, you know the rivalry between Sydney and Melbourne.
Melbourne scrubs up alright, but the suburbs are depressing.
