Best ending to a film.

First off, how this thread doesn't begin and end with Jimmy Grimble is beyond me, but since it didn't . . .

The Usual Suspects as a bunch of other people have said.

No Way Out -- really, really great twist -- arguably better than The Usual Suspects.

500 Days of Summer . . . Minka Kelly (utterly scorching), followed by a remarkable Mumm-Ra song.

And Lost in Translation . . . what DID Bill Murray say to Scarlett Johansson?

Some good picks but I really can't agree with 500 Days of Summer. Thought the ending was a complete cop out, where he conveniently hooks up with another stunner with a quirky name. I think the ending really should have been bleak, which leads me nicely onto...

Coming Home. The anti-war film that went head to head with The Deer Hunter (another great film) in the late 70s.
Walking into the sea has always struck me as an 'interesting' way to go.

The Matrix. Ended perfectly with absolutely no need for anything to be added.

Thank God they didn't make any sequels...

Could also go in the best film opening thread.

Oh, and let's not forget The Room.
