Best Ever Headed City Goal

A diving header by Johnny Crossan v Huddersfield on New Years Day 1966. There were over 47,000 in Maine Road for that match, City’s biggest crowd in years.

A photographer behind the goal managed to catch it just right with Crossan in mid air. That snap was plastered all over the papers the next day.
A couple of years later I seem to remember a diving header by Buzzer in a cup reply at Reading. Like the Crossan goal, a photographer caught it perfectly if I recall correctly but I now cant find it anywhere.!

Otimendi scored a belter but can’t remember who against, it was home game

I expected great things of the Dave Watson header until I saw it on You Tube and it wasn't quite the distance out that it was made out to be, I'd say the Mick McCarthy one against United in 1986 was better.

Think Watson just wins it for me but McCarthy’s was a great header.

It's funny how you remember things differently as the years go by.
Was at the Luton away game in 2nd Division and was convinced (!?) I remember Andy Morrison scoring with a 30 yard bullet header on a par with Watson or McCarthy. However, watching it back on youtube it was more a case of him nodding it back accross goal and the defender applying the finishing touches in a bit of a 'comedy attempt' to keep it out!!
