Best football moment not involving city

Denis Bailey. Lovely bloke. Really decent person who was a very good player. Career probably didn’t pan out the way it should have but still did well.

Is he still the last player to score a hat Trick at old Trafford.

Salah scored a hattrick at OT in the season just gone.

I don’t get sentimental about Soviet communism; far from it. But the USSR team from 1986 were out of this world. 4-2-4. Rats-Belanov-Zavarov-Yaremchuk. Valeriy Lobanowskiy.

Lobanovskiy was a brilliant coach, massively underrated.

Messi's goal against Real Madrid in the 2011 Champions League semi-final.

That game was billed as an El Clasico for the ages but it was awful. Mourinho-ball at its absolute worst. Then Messi picked the ball up on the halfway line and thought "Fuck this".

The rest is history.

It's ok but not as good as KInkladze's versus Southampton

Zidane Goal in CL final got me out of my chair
I think most blokes I speak to around my age (43) Italia 90 was a special memory

weird cos I couldn’t give a toss about England now

Maguire dribbling the ball straight to the Watford defenders, despite having acres of space, subsequently getting himself sent off.

Idk about best moments, but it sure did made me laugh. Maguire pulling Shaw down is right up there too.
