Best games of football you've ever seen?

2-1 home win vs the dippers was the absolute Peak of the Premier League. 2 best sides to ever play in it going hammer and tongs for 90 minutes.
Possibly you’re right, some right old battles but I’m always too nervous to enjoy the match so could never say I enjoy them or say what a good game it was.

1970 World Cup Final
Most overhyped game ever. The Italians were knackered after their semi-final against the Germans had gone to extra time just 4 days earlier. The game was played at walking pace because the temperature was in the 30's and it was high humidity at altitude. Brazil were good but their 1982 team was probably better.

Apart from the ones said previously, those 2 Liverpool Vs. Newcastle 4-3 games in the mid 90's were definitely entertaining

That
The 2022 World Cup final.
This won't be popular here, but the 2005 CL final between Liverpool and Milan. How Liverpool won that game against that Milan team with the likes of Shevchenko, Kaka, Gattuso, Crespo, Cafu, Seedorf, Maldini, Nesta, etc, I will never know.
That gane was rigged because if you renrnber Milan got done for match fixing around that time .

Fair points. But that final goal. I have not seen better.

I imagine Rochdale v Bromley won't get too many shouts but i popped over to this after work on the FA Cup 1st round day earlier this year. After 3 minutes it was 2-0 Bromley, going into injury time it was 3-2 Dale and at full time it was 4-3 Bromley. One of the most insane games I've seen in years honestly.

There was something about the venue which added to the greatness of the Brazil v Italy 1982 game. The old Espanyol ground in Sarria, steep terracing , fans almost on top of the play, a constant electric buzz in the air.
Heartbreakingly good game.
For me it was a gloriously valiant loss where the baddies won.
No wonder it chimed…

Being an old timer
For me it's still the FACup Semi 1981 at VP
Beat Ipswich 1-0 courtesy of the PP Free Kick
In the Holt End and pure Delerium when it hit the back of the net
I was 9 and listening to it in the living room with my Mum and Grandma.
That win generated a very special feeling of what I thought was to come.
Little did I know…

Classic!!! ;-)

Not sure if someone has already mentioned, but 5-2 at home to Spuds in Brian Horton days (Ossie Ardiles was managing them) was wonderfully entertaining. It’s no exaggeration to say the score could have been anything up to about 12-7. It was just non-stop glorious chances end-to-end
