Best gig you've ever been to

I was at that ANL gig at Alex park. 1977 I think it was.Boiling hot day, loads of guys trying to sell cannabis, lousy bogs and food but great music. Buzzcocks were superb!
I was 17.....oh how time flies :(
Was there too mate aged 16

Not in any particular order but:
Yes, the Palace theatre, 1975
Pink Floyd, Bingley Hall, 75/76?
Queen, Free Trade Hall, November 75, the night Bohemian Rhapsody went to no.1
Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Crucuble, 1976ish
Bowie, Bingley Hall, think 1976
Bruce Springsteen, NEC, 1976
The Who, Queen Elizabethan Hall, 1977, probably the best gig ever until Nick Cave came along
The Clash, siousixie and the banshees and Magazine at the Elizabethan Hall, 1977ish, £1 entrance
Kiss, FTH, sometime late 70s
Bob Dylan, Earls Court, 1978
Joy Division, several times 79/80, best at the Russell Club
Neil Young, the Apollo, 2008?
Nick Cave, the Apollo and the MEN, 2009 and 2018, both absolutely stunning gigs
Think the Bowie one was 1978, got the ticket stub somewhere, Bob Marley played the night before

There's been a few that qualify - this is just one:

Penultimate Big Black gig at the Hammersmith Clarendon 1987. The place was packed & fucking boiling -stunning set from BB ,and to top it off Bruce Gilbert & Graham Lewis from Wire came on for an encore rendition of Heartbeat.

Amazing night.

Jean Michel Jarre @ Manchester Opera House, ELO @ Porchester Hall, Charlotte Gainsbourg @ Somerset House, Thee Oh Sees @ Ace Hotel.

Oasis at Maine Road
James at Manchester Arena - I know they've played there loads of times and I couldn't tell you what year this one was but I remember it started with a marching band walking down the side of the floor and up on to the stage before launching in to the opening bars of Come Home then the curtain dropped and the band went straight into it.

First gig. I'm in there somewhere. Near the stacks in front of Paul Simonon.

@squirtyflower. Is this the one you were at mate? Siouxsie was there but I don't think Magazine played. Maybe Penetration?

I’m almost certain it was the first outing of Magazine, but you know what memory’s are like. May be i saw their first gig elsewhere
There was also a decent group in the neighbouring bar, Warsaw.

Saw them several times when Hugh Cornwell was lead singer. When he left I didn't want to see them again. You can replace a lead, base guitarist and drummer but not a lead singer IMO.
They used to rent a little cottage in Lyvden woods in Northants, me and some mates would bike out there and they were cool enough to talk with us. Must have been 78 or 79, can’t remember what album they were putting together
