Best Home Atmosphere 2022/23 Season

It was tuff choice between Arsenal and Real Madrid, but I’ve gone for City v Arsenal.

The whole night was perfect from start to finish. The pre-match displays, the pre-match build up, the team performance, the goals, the non-stop atmosphere throughout the game, and the night when the PL title race swung back into City’s favour.

I would have said City v Madrid but for the fact that our incompetent administration allowed so many regulars to miss out, so for me City v Arsenal best home atmosphere and Arsenal v City best away atmosphere.

Atmosphere was a bit flat 2nd half against the rags. Think people were shocked by how easy it was and then it ended on a bit of a downer with their undeserved goals.

Agree that Madrid and Arsenal were the best two. Hard to separate them tbh.

Arsenal for me. The Arsenal players were shocked by it. It was one of the most hostile I can ever remember at our stadium.



Better than Madrid for me because it was much more full of proper Blues. While the Blues there did create a great atmosphere against Madrid, there were too many non-Blues/daytrippers there which diluted it.

Loads just stood there motionless and not celebrating at the foot of CBL1 when Bernardo scored those two goals… same against Bayern with Rodri’s goal n’all… those kind of attendees can get fucked, don’t want them in our stadium! They’re clearly not City fans and are just there for the occasion.

The Arsenal players were blown away by the atmosphere. You could see them wilting, especially when the Poznan went around the ground followed by the chants of City, City, City in the video you posted. I honestly don’t think Arsenal’s away support has heard a home atmosphere that good before?

When there is jeapordy there is atmosphere. We knew we had to beat Arsenal and Madrid. But that night against Madrid was electric. It was a changing of the guard. An announcement of our place at the top table and we fucking destroyed them
