They really should put this concert out on DVD. It's one of these occasions, a kind of moment in time where all the stars and planets lined up perfectly to yield a magnificent performance. No sound quality issues, and you can just about hear a pin drop when Hendrix pauses. The audience is rapt. Of course, they didnt even clap at the end of the long guitar solo, they just looked entranced, he'd just taken them somewhere away from the humdrm of everyday life haha. I wouldve been too.

The security guy with the Monty Python 'tache certainly looked entranced! He had that "what the hell's going" on look.

That and Watermelons in Easter Hay by Zappa are two of my favourite instrumentals.
